WATERCOLOUR and bodycolour, "Mabel"
inscribed on reverse of painting. SIGNED: G.BOUVIER. Gustave
specialised in portraits and genre paintings exhibited through the
Royal Academy and Suffolk Street Gallery, London. Exhibited 1866-1884.
Gustave was the son of Jules and the brother Augustas, also respected
artists. (See on rear of painting for other G. Bouvier art work).

ETCHING FRAMED
and SIGNED by J.C. GOODHART. Joseph Cristian Goodhart was born Adelaide 1875 and died Victor Harbour
in 1954. Painter and ETCHER. He eventually owned
one of the biggest shops in Broken Hill. In the late 1920's a
set of etchings was bought by Herbert HOOVER (later President Hoover),
then working at Broken Hill for his Mining Ticket. That set is
now in the White House Archives. He had many credits and distinctions.
The scene is old McGipps stoking his campfire with his horses
tied up to some trees near old derilect buildings at Broken Hill.

OIL PAINTING. Mediterranean Scene TITLED -"ORANGE GLOW". This Bendigo
born artist painted part-time under the direction of Kenneth
Jack. In 1974 he set off to travel the world. Solo exhibitions
took place in Victoria at the Balmoral Gallery in 1979 and the Bethany
Gallery in 1985 and 1986. In 1981 Kerry also had a solo exhibition
at the Heritage Gallery in Los Angeles and in 1995 at the Wagner Art
Gallery in Sydney. His works are in many collections and enjoyed many
commissions and awards. This OIL was painted in 1972 - 1973 as
recorded on the rear exhibition card #446. SIGNED: K DORAN.
Possibly one of his first works painted in Bendigo before travelling
abroad. |

This nightime scene is of a campfire, illuminating the forest
surrounds and in particular the Swagman and his tent, and of course

artist on the back Arthur Hamblin 1984 and has been beautifully

associate of Charles Condor. Subject: "Three

the health of one child's hair, whilst the third looks on with interest.
